 Outreach Meetings

As part of its commitment to outreach and education, WECC Compliance organizes and promotes participation for multiple meetings.  Below you will find brief descriptions and general information on these meetings.
Current and past announcements, registration links, agenda, presentations, etc. can be found on each meetings workspace accessed via the WECC calendar page.

Distribution List: To receive email distributions for the CUG, CIPUG, or other outreach communications please send a request to distribution@wecc.biz to be added to the list.

 Open Webinar

Information:

Since many of the questions the WECC Compliance Staff receive are very similar, we will be answering the questions in an open forum for greater efficiency.

WECC Compliance Subject Matter Experts will participate on this webinar and will respond to questions; however, in fairness to everyone on the call, we will not address entity-specific questions and issues.

Schedule:

The Open Webinar is the third Thursday of every month starting at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time /2:00 p.m. Mountain time.

Connecting to the Webinar:

  • Click here to open the webinar in your web browser
  • Enter your name and e-mail address
  • Click “Join”
  • Follow the instructions that appear on your screen
  • To link the webinar and audio conference, provide your phone number when prompted after you have joined the meeting

Please note:

  • All users will be muted on entry

 Compliance User Group (CUG)

The CUG meeting provides in-depth and detailed training and education through structured lecture and presentation, panels of expertise, interactive dialog in an open forum, direct question and answer sessions and invaluable networking opportunities.  Workshops cover the entire compliance sphere with focus reflecting the attendees and industries issues. These meeting provide direct access to the WECC Compliance management team, staff, and Subject-Matter Experts.

 Critical Infrastructure Protection User Group (CIPUG)

The mission of the CIPUG is to provide an open forum for the exchange of information regarding the WECC Compliance Program's enforcement of mandatory CIP Standards (CIP-001 through CIP-009) in the Western Interconnection. It is a forum for WECC to provide information regarding NERC and WECC CIP activities and related training and workshops for Registered Entities on an as-needed basis.
