WECC-0070 Governor Droop Criterion

The purpose of WECC-0070, Governor Droop Setting Criterion, is to facilitate primary frequency support in the Western Interconnection by requiring generating resources with a governor to have a droop setting within a specified range.

On October 13, 2011, the Operating Committee approved the document to be forwarded to the WECC Board of Directors for approval.

On December 1, 2011, the WECC Board of Directors approved the document assigning an Effective Date for the Requirement as January 1, 2012 and an Effective Date for the associated Measure as January 1, 2013.
