Interconnection-wide Transmission Planning Grant
The Western Electricity Coordinating Council received notification on December 18, 2009 from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that it has been awarded $14.5 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to conduct interconnection-wide electric transmission planning studies in the Western Interconnection.
The activites funded by this grant that will be performed under the Regional Transmission Expansion Planning (RTEP) project. All information about this project is located at Planning > Transmission Planning > RTEP
