Protection System and Relay Misoperation Reporting

In an effort to address one of the top reliability issues, the NERC Electric Reliability Organization Reliability Assessment and Performance Analysis (ERO-RAPA) group is requesting data concerning protection and control system misoperations. To address this issue a misoperation reporting template has been developed and adopted throughout NERC. The ERO-RAPA group is collecting this data to analyze the Automatic Transmission Outages Caused by Protection System Misoperations metric (ALR4-1). This metric is used to gauge performance of protection and control systems. Data should be submitted according to the following schedule at https://fileupload.wecc.biz

How does Registered Entities report if they have had no misoperations for that quarter? |
In the Misoperation Reporting Submittals Clarification Letter Effective October 1, 2011 it states "Registered Entities are not required to submit a report if no misoperations have occurred. The Standards only require reporting of misoperations |
